In case you need only general information about holdings or signatures in English, your may write us in English. Normally, we will also respond in English; however, there is no legal entitlement to this!
According to the German Administrative Procedures Acts, legally significant applications must be submitted in German. In these cases, the archive's decisions will be issued in German. Examples of such procedures include the shortening of statutory blocking periods or information on citizenship matters.
